Sunshine Functional Healing was founded in 2021 by Nurse Practitioner Amy Read after years of struggling with her own health issues and discovering the power of root-cause medicine. What conventional care couldn't solve, functional medicine did. That experience drives everything we do: digging deeper, asking why, and building plans that address the real problem. We're an independent functional medicine practice accepting new clients in MI, SC, NY, MD, and VA through telemedicine, with in-office visits available in South Carolina and Michigan. From managing complex health conditions to optimizing wellness and supporting healthy aging, we help clients take control of their health at every stage of life. We build personalized plans rooted in science and tailored to your goals. Our clients come to us for a wide range of concerns, including hormonal imbalances and women's health, cognitive decline and memory support, anxiety, depression, and mental wellness, weight management, neurodevelopmental conditions such as ASD and PANS/PANDAS, and complex multi-system cases that traditional medicine hasn't been able to resolve.
