About the practitioner

Dr. Rice is known as an empowering guide to authentic next-level health. He is a specialist in Precision Wellness medicine. He believes that one should not just survive but thrive. He is an expert clinician known for restoring and optimizing health for clients who think or were told it was not possible. Dr. Rices passion and commitment to his clients was born out of his wife's experience with chronic illness. Despite expert care in traditional medicine (i.e., prescriptions, procedures, specialty care, etc.), his wife's symptoms persisted. After much research, he treated his wife with precision root-cause medicine that resolved her major health issues. Dr. Rice realized the value of this approach and made it his mission to deliver it to his clients. Ilera Precision Wellness was founded by Dr. Rice to co-create health with his clients, especially for those seeking to learn and take charge of their health; for those who demand quality and consider themselves a priority. Dr. Rice combines hormone optimization with state-of-the-art lifestyle assessment technology, cutting edge epigenetic coaching, peptide therapy and functional medicine to guide motivated clients to their full health potential. This approach accounts for each person's unique health profile to deliver a transformative and personalized experience to his clients. Dr. Rice provides care through in-person and telemedicine visits. In some cases, an initial in-person visit is required. Subsequent visits can then be done via telemedicine. Dr. Rice is a ReCODE 2.0 Certified Practitioner and is certified in Functional Medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) and recognized as an IFM Certified Practitioner (IFMCP). He is certified by the Academy for Preventive and Innovative Medicine in Advanced Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy. He is specialty trained in Functional Medicine and Nutrition through the Kresser Institute.
