Reticulocytes aren't Ridiculous, They're RBCs

Reticulocytes are immature red blood cells (RBCs) made in the bone marrow and released into circulation where they mature after a few days.

The percentage of reticulocytes in the blood will increase when more RBCs need to be produced after blood loss or during recovery from anemia. The reticulocyte% will decrease if the bone marrow isn't functioning well or while anemia is persistent.
